6-7 week sleep regression?

6-7 week sleep regression?

Okay so for the past month my baby has been sleeping great! Waking up to feed every 4-6 hours or so and then going right back to sleep. Lately she has not wanting to sleep AT ALL during the night. IF I can get her to fall asleep by midnight she wakes up at 2am and will NOT fall back asleep and we are up for hours! She has been farting ALOT recently the past week as well so idk if that has anything to do with it. Any other moms going through the same thing? I really don't know what to do. I don't mind waking up every 2-3 hours but I just want her to be able to fall back asleep? what should I do!?

Currently going through this and my daughter will be 8 weeks on Thursday. It started about 2 weeks ago and I've tried keeping her up during the day but it just makes her irritable and then she ends up fighting her sleep all day and then crying all night until about 4ish am until she finally passes out from exhaustion so I don't try to keep her up during the day anymore unless she's very alert and looking around. I have found that keeping music on all night helps her sleep and I've let her sleep in the swing the last few days since she doesn't wake as much when she's constantly rocking. I'm not sure what else to try but it's getting frustrating to lose so much sleep

My little girl was doing that at about 6 weeks too. She was sleeping all day and not at all at night. She finally got out of it after a couple weeks on her own, but what helped her sleep at night a tiny bit was during the day we would let her sleep 2 hours then keep her up for no less then an hour and keep the pattern going until it was night time. Good luck it will get better!

Try swaddles! We did them in the beginning but he hated them and always broke out and had to have his arms out. So we just gave up. Recently he has had the spastic flailing arms in his sleep and wakes him up so I've been swaddling him again and he's sleeping 3 to 4 hours at night!

During the day, I try to keep him busy... when he's awake, I'll put him on the play mat for a little bit... or just play with him.. sometimes we just dance around the house :) lol as soon as I notice he's getting tired.. I put him in the swing for a nap.

My 7 wo went through something similar a couple weeks ago. I got a night light and we started using white noise at night about an hour before bed time to relax him and all during the night. He wakes to nurse, the first time is after about 5 hours of sleep. LO likes the sound of wind and the sound of radio static. Bassinet is in our room and DH and I can sleep through the white noise, but I still wake to lo's rousing from sleep.

I'm reading the Happiest baby guide to great sleep, took the white noise advice from there

My baby is taking short naps during the day but luckily still sleeping at night as long as I’m right next to him so I don’t get much sleep either ?

But we do sleep with a dim light on at night for him and it seems to help quite a bit.

also she HATES the dark. She will cry as soon as I turn the lights off but calms when I turn them back on.

Mommies I need advice....

Mommies I need advice.... So last night was night 15 of me sleep training my daughter from sleeping with me to now sleeping in her new crib. It has been EXHAUSTING! When she slept with me she would sleep straight throughout the night. Now she wakes up at the least, 5 times throughout the night. She has waken up at most 8/9 times at night. There have been times where I’m patting her for an 1 hour-2hours straight to get her back to sleep when she has waken up at one of those times🥵. So I have felt like a complete failure because I am delirious due to sleep deprivation, and I’m just so exhausted from this whole journey and can’t catch up with my sleep that when she’s waken up the past two nights at 7am, I haven’t been able to push through my exhaustion and I just put her in the bed with me for an hour or an hour and a half until we wake up just so I can get a little sleep. I don’t want to confuse her and I don’t want all the work I’ve done so far to be a waste because of putting her in bed with me these past two times. I don’t have anyone to take turns with me because I’m a single mom. And at times my bed wakes her back up after putting her to sleep because it’s so noisy 🙄. I’m working on that part, lol. I’ve let her sleep with a shirt of mine that smelled like me 3 nights and it didn’t help. I’ve even given her a bed baby that she sleeps with. What would you guys do in my case.??

This week has been the hardest week of my life! Ever since my 1 year old was born she’s always had an AMAZING sleep schedule. She would wake up once a night maybe two but it was rare. As she grew up she stopped waking up at all and would sleep her 9-10 hours straight. Well this week she’s been waking up 4 hours after her bedtime, crying and screaming. I rock her back to sleep but she’s like a ticking bomb, as soon as she feels me putting her on her crib she immediately wakes up crying. It’s taken me 3 hours every night to put her back to sleep and tonight has been so hard! I put her to sleep around 9pm woke up at 10p. She went back to sleep 30 minutes after and at 12:40a she woke up SCREAMING! I tried to put her back to sleep (since I’ve heard never to wake up a sleeping child) but the crying wouldn’t stop and I don’t mean normal crying it was the time of crying as if someone was torturing her. Obviously I just broke down crying😭😭 she’s never been like this before. It’s been so exhausting not only for me but also for her.
