Rosita- congrats on your first boy!!! And as for girls, I find boys live physically closer to their parents but girls are emotionally closer. Teenage years are hard for girls but once they become moms, they tend to get closer to their moms again.

Michy- I hope I get as excited like you! I know I’ll love the baby and will feel horrible for how I feel now!

Tlm- thinking when the kiddies come we will have the prefect and complete family but the longing for a boy/girl will always be there.

We are on the same boat I wanted a girl so bad but found out I’m having my 4th boy and this one is my last ,and like everyone else says depends on what kind of mother in law you are ,you can become either very close to their wives and they will like to be around you or totally the opposite but you seem nice I’m sure that won’t be a problem ! I have four girls and always felt the opposite. Which is why I never stopped trying for a boy. A girl gets married moves away and become part of the husbands family. But a boy will always need his mother.

I felt exactly like this when I found out my second was a boy. But, now I can’t believe I ever had those thoughts because he is absolutely amazing. I love the bond my two boys have and the bond I have with them. Now we’re expecting baby boy #3 and couldn’t be happier!! ???

Feeling the same way, except I have an almost 4 year old daughter and we are having our second girl and this is also our last baby! I’m so sad I’ll never have that mother/son bond! ? I love my daughter so much, and I love this new baby too, but we were both really hoping for a boy! I hope we can get out of this funk soon!

I worry about the same thing as I have two boys now and won’t know until tomorrow what this little bean is! But my brother and his wife are super close with my mom. Although not as close as me with her but still. I think it just really depends on what kind of mother in law you are!

But on a different note my boys are almost 4 and 2 and man they are best friends. They go and do everything together. It’s adorable. Neither one of them remember a time without the other and when they split up they are so excited to see each other. Seriously their relationship makes me so happy and gives me so much comfort knowing what things will be like with a 3rd boy!

Cw- yup we had issues too and I had to do a lot of research and family planning. We did try for a certain gender and then finally just said let’s let nature decide!

Tlilly- can I just say I hate it when I tell people I’m having a second boy and the first thing they say is “it’s so much cheaper! You can reuse the same clothes!” It’s like umm I think there’s more positives than that...

Same boat. Our son will be 3 in April and we are having our second boy and last child. We don’t want to try for more due to multiple miscarriages and my high risk pregnancies. I did honestly believe our son was the only miracle we would ever have so while I’m sad I won’t get a girl, I’m so happy to have been blessed with 2 perfect little boys. Especially since at one point we didn’t know if we would ever have even one child.

I have 2 boys and pregnant with a third, which is my last. I wanted a daughter too, but now I’m excited my youngest will have a little brother (there’s 10.5 years difference between my first and second son). He loves his daddy but can be a major momma’s boy too. He’ll adore you.

I'm having a son too, but I have a really good relationship with my mother in law. I hope to be the same support for whoever my son ends up loving.

Aww thanks ashlynn!!! You just never hear good stories about mother in laws with their Daughter in laws and now I’ll be that mother in law!!! I’m just going to have to be bffs with my sons’ wives haha

oh honey, you’re his momma! he will never ever forget about you! also, my little brother is extremely close to my mom. although he isn’t married yet, i don’t ever see him not being as close. my dad is the oldest of 3 boys and my dad and my 2 uncles are still very close to my grandma! my parents have her over to their house for supper every sunday! hang in there momma!!? i also have a 2 year old son, and we just found out this little one is a boy! so i’m in the same boat as you!!
