Anyone here experience a clogged duct? Apparently I had one that led to my mastitis but I didn't know it...took me two 1 Hr hand express sessions in the shower before my rock hard was soft again and I sprung a spring that kept going forever but I have no idea what I did? where do I find this "lump" next time? How close is it to the areola? There's four lumps deep inside that's a square pattern surrounding my areola but I have no idea if it's normal or do I have four clogs???? No longer engorged btw.

They can be anywhere in the breast area, even the armpit. I've had a few, they've been like golf ball sized knots about an inch from the areola.

I got some Lansinoh Breast Therapy things today because it's supposed to help with that, I've only had them for a few hours but they feel sooooo much better.

You had multiple ones? Where abouts was it found on high? Under? Close to the nipple? Armpit?

Don't know how to figure out where it is on you but I figured it out with my hand where the hard ones were. A nurse told me since it was clogged so badly to feed then ice for 20 minutes and before I feed to use the strongest heat I could take and it relaxed my duct cleared out eventually

Mastitis I've been hospitalized. Came in yesterday evening around 5pm, I had a heart rate of 157 and a very high fever! I had horrible symptoms since Thursday. Initially I thought I just had a clogged duct and a flu. I really didn't know the symptoms of Mastitis. I am on heavy antibiotics now and have to stay until Tuesday! So please don't be like me and be seen the first time you have a lump on your breast and flu like symptoms. It's miserable. I honestly thought I was sick and had a clogged duct, silly me. I don't want anyone to experience this. It's absolutely the worst
