Remember, Car and Carseat safety is not a parental choice. Laws are laws. Seatbelts at all times. Individuals 12 years and younger must sit in the back seat per law. Rearfacing until at least 2 years old per safety regulations, but safest to rearface until they are over two and outgrow rearfacing. Front face with proper carseat until they outgrow it. Booster until 8 years old in most States or until they weigh 80lbs or until they are 4 foot 9 inches. Be sure to look up your state laws and the current car seat safety regulations as they are not always updated with state laws. Thank you for coming to today's TED Talk. ETA: As stated above be sure to research the most current safety regulations! The laws are the bare minimum but current safety regulations are updated as soon as new research is released! Laws are not always updated as they should be. If current safety regulations states an older age than the law, I urge you to abide by the safety regulations. Our babies deserve more than the bare minimum.
