QUESTION: Do you wash the bottom of your pots/pans/skillets?
I know I shouldn't complain when my husband offers to do something out the ordinary like cook dinner tonight....but it BUGSSS me when he cooks cause he will use 17 damn pots/skillets and have the kitchen lookin like a tornado came thru (although he will clean it but still). Im just like dude wtf 🤦🏾 ♀ im like you couldve used the same pan you grilled the onions in for the burgers 🙄 my OCD is not having it 🤣 I can make a nice 3 course dinner and use a couple pans lol plus I clean/wash as I go. Let's not talk about his horrible grocery shopping ways 🥴 this is why I like and prefer doing it all 🤣
do you... Clean up after your SO is done cooking? Or vice versa? DF was cooking and while he was cooking I unloaded the dish washer and hand washed the pot he had used and put dishes in the dish washer, so by the time he got his plate, dishes were done and left overs were in Tupperware on the counter just in case anyone wanted seconds and counters were wiped down. The room mate asked me why I do that, and I just say that's how I was raised. I always clean up after anyone cooks in the house, even after myself. I clean as I cook, so DF doesn't clean up because it's done before dinner is finished lol. But there's rare occasions where he'd be in the kitchen while I cook so he does help out with the cleaning since i cook during the day sometimes so we can heat it up when it's dinner time. I want everyone to get their first and seconds before I eat. My mom has taught me to always clean up after your spouse makes dinner, it's only fair. They put their effort into cooking, you should always help them out.
Only child For those of you only wanting one child do you worry about them missing out on not having siblings? I really think I just want my daughter and no more. I don't want her to feel like she's missing out on a brother or sister.
Cookware So I told my dh that I wanted new pots and pans for my birthday (in april). He said to find the set I want and he'll buy it for me. Yay! Now I've had mismatched pots and pans for seven years now. They were given to me by my ils friends after our wedding so I'd have something to cook in. I have no clue what brands are good. I need them to be easy to clean and not super heavy, so no cast iron. I have weak wrists.
