Testing at 6 weeks

Has anyone else tested at about 6 weeks? I did this morning and it was lighter than my first test on October 4th so it’s been over 2 weeks and my first  strong bfp was at 11dpo so about 3 weeks 4days and now at 6 weeks the test is still positive but no darker than 2 weeks ago maybe even a little lighter. I expected the test line to steal all the dye by now. I know about the hook effect but 6 weeks seems too early to be expiring the hook effect. Also I have had slim to none symptoms this pregnancy. I’m loosing hope

Thanks for the responses ladies I guess only time or a dr will tell. I didn’t plan on scheduling my first appointment until around 8 weeks because that’s when they want to see me for a dating scan but I think I’ll be calling right away Monday and just praying I make it that long.

My bestie took two test less than 15min apart and one was super dark and one was light. I don't think it means anything unless you are having other symptoms.

It could be hook effect but if you are concerned I would call your doctor or midwife. Doing two different beta tests two days apart will give you a real answer.

Brown is typically ok. Once your hcg is so high, the test can't read it anymore so it looks lighter. It's called the hook effect I believe

Also been having brown discharge when using the bathroom when whipping for the past few days that is what prompted me to test again. Hoping for the best but preparing for the worst
