Tell me I'm being silly!
Last night at a family party my 50 year old uncle was holding my 5 1/2 month old daughter who we think is teething. He gave her one of those frozen microwaveable pretzels to chew on without my knowledge. The issue is, we were not planning on giving her any food until 6 months. I'm kind of upset that her first food was some stupid overprocessed frozen thing that I didn't even get to give her myself, although she didn't eat any of it, just gummed it for about 5 minutes. There was no salt on it at least. I am trying to tell myself it doesn't count as her first food and to not be upset. What do you mamas think? I know he had only good intentions. ?
Thanks ladies, that makes me feel better. I'll try thinking of it as a teething stick! And there are no more family gatherings before she turns 6 months so at least we're safe there. I just worry a lot and didn't know if I was making myself anxious for no reason.
I'd say yeh and no. I get why you would be upset but a frozen pretzel would have been nice on her little gums when teething. Obviously not the best choice but as you said it was done with good intentions.
As pp said maybe just think of it as a teething stick for now. She didn't eat it so you still get to experience her first time with real food. Maybe let the family know that you don't want her having those sort of things in the future though.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
need suggestions....
So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
I wouldve went off!! Just sayin...5 month old and pretzels? I choke on pretzels and Im 26...just sayin smh
