lately my son hasn't been wanting to eat. I make him nice filling meals everyday and he'll take a few bites and be done. is this a normal thing? what can I do to get him to eat?

My two year old is doing the exact same thing, barely eating and spitting oh my god the spitting...
On the walls on the windows, toys, himself ??. I'm about to pull my hair out.

Is he getting any more teeth? My 16 month old hardly eats when a molar is coming through.

I was told this is normal. My DD wasn't eating at all, and I was so concerned my doctor had her come in one every week for a month and she was gaining weight. She told me she will eat when she's hungry. I don't know if it's the same case for your son, but maybe a talk with his doctor can help you get an idea

My DDs birthday is 11/6 also, but she'll be 3. Anyways, it's normal. My almost 2 yr old is teething horribly and she has been a bit picky. My almost 3 year old is in a phase where she only wants to eat chicken nuggets, fruit, macaroni and cheese and junk. I offer a variety at each meal and if she only eats a few bites, then I'm ok with it, I'll offer it again 20 mins later, I heat it up if she wants it if not I toss it.

I'd check for new teeth coming in but honestly I think it's just normal. My daughter goes through phases of eating a ton, and then eating very very little. She's perfectly healthy. Her doctor said to try and not force it as that can backfire and make it a control thing to them and cause issues down the road.
Just keep offering food and try not to stress it. They won't starve themselves.

My 2 year old has been so picky. He doesn't want to eat anything lately! It's so frustrating because you know they need the calories and nutrition. I just started him on vitamins because of his lack of eating ?
I'm sure it's just a phase they go through.

It's completely normal. Every child will go thru stages where they eat tones tones n it's like you can never fill them then all of a sudden they stop and hardly eat anything, it's them just going thru growth spurts! It's will happen every few months till there 10-13. Then start again once there about 16-20ish. Both my girls and son do this every few months eldest 11 youngest 2 yr old.

Feed small snacks 6-8 times throughout the day instead of 3 large meals. Try new foods.
Children won't starve themselves.

When that happens I make little portion of cut up stuff that can go back in fridge if they don't eat like some apple, carrot, cheese. Simple, take it out. Offer it if they don't want I put back in. If they don't eat what I offer the get nothing until the next meal. Also my 3 year old chugs her drink and then she is full so just check to see if that is an issue

It's really normal. At that age they can go through phases where they eat a ton or don't eat a lot.
