trick or treating

how old was your lo when you first took them out to trick or treat? my lo will be turning two 6 days after so I don't really see the point since he won't even know what's going on.

I dressed her up for Halloween when she was 6 months old, but we stayed in and handed out candy. Her first trick or treating was last yr at 1.5yrs. She didn't really get it, but it was fun to show off my cutie.

I took my oldest out with me when he was 5mos. I was taking my little brother anyway so we all dressed up. All my kids after that went went with us as babies too since I was taking the other kids. Bonus: if you're taking a baby a lot of people give mom candy ?

My ds was 13 months and he had a blast! We went with his cousins who were all older, but he was keeping up with them running from house to house. My dd was almost 6 months last year and went trick or treating only because we were taking ds out. She obviously didn't get any candy, but we dressed her up. This year she'll be 1 and 1/2 and we'll let her collect candy too.

My daughter went when she was 13 months old for the first time. Then she went at two and will again at 3. Lol

She likes going out and seeing all of the costumes. And it's free candy for mom and dad ??

We will be taking dd this year. Last year she was 10 months and couldn't walk and it was too cold. This year it will pretty much be a month until her 2nd birthday so I figured it would be fun to bring her to her grandparents and her godfathers parents house

Since he was born but only because I took him along with my nieces and nephews. He didn't actually go for the candy but I did dress him up.

Lo will be 11mths. I dont mind if he doesn't remember beside hes probably gonna fall asleep anyway!

But its memories that we all share as a family.

A lot of the neighbours kids are going as well and we are all getting together to go even tho not many people celebrate around here its still fun!

Ive made each and every one a costume( even the neighbours kids) and they are so pround of them!

I took my oldest for the first time when he was 10 months. He also went last year and will go this year. Last year he had a blast! Who cares if he isn't going to remember it years from now? I took pictures and I will show him those. I'm not going to not do things with my children on the chance they don't remember. What if they do remember? What if they remember never being able to do anything fun? That would suck. Anyways, my youngest will be 9 months for halloween and I will be taking him as well.

For Ds first Halloween he was only 3 weeks old and we lived in Michigan so I was not taking him out. My sister's friend crocheted a cacoon and hat that looked like a football and I wore a jersey and answered the door and handed out candy at home. We've went every year since then bc now we're in sc and its never really cold by Halloween. Plus now I have a 5 year old ss so we all go.together.

Dd 1 was 10 days old for her first Halloween. We basically brought her for the walk so that we could see the decorated houses. People tried to give us candy for her though.

Both girls walked around in costumes and collected treats when they were around 2. At that age , most of the treats were for us.

Last year my youngest was a few months shy of 2 yrs and she LOVED it! She was so interested in all the crazy decorations and i think had more fun than my 8 yr old.

We are taking our daughter for her first time this year and she will be almost 2 1/2.

I didn't see the point the years before but we have been talking about it with her and I think she will enjoy it and "get it" enough. If it was 5/6 months ago I probably still wouldn't have taken her. She has changed a lot in hose few months.
