Breast feeding / alcohol
Okay moms, what are the rules when it comes to breast feeding and alcohol? Everything online I read says not to drink and until baby is 3 months and to only have one beverage like a beer or a glass of wine. I don't want a glass of wine I want the whole bottle ? but really what are the rules?

Thanks ladies. My boyfriend is being a freak about it and telling me the drink will effect the baby. But everything I read says it's fine just wait a few hours to nurse. And obviously don't over do it.
I've been reading that it's about 2 hours of wait time after each drink, just to be sure. I miss my wine too, but I'm hoping to get her used to breastfeeding before I introduce a bottle, then hopefully I can interchange between both so I can have a little freedom to indulge in another glass while she drinks from the pumped supply.
I know like a drink or 2 is ok. Anything after that, its like you pump and dump for every drink after that, well at least that's what I did with my first, haven't really drank with this one just yet. Just a stout here and there cuz I heard they help with milk production (worth a shot lol)
It used to be an hour per glass of wine/beer/shot of liquor. I usually wait until he just finished nursing a lot then drink as long as I know he won't be nursing for a bit. Like he will go to sleep at 9pm and I will have a couple glasses of wine and he doesn't wake up till midnight or so. Depends on how often they nurse. Not much alcohol goes to your milk but it's typically ok to drive, ok to nurse. They sell testing strips that test alcohol levels in breastmilk
