Breastfeeding advice
So I've been breastfeeding my baby since birth. I pump a couple times a day and he gets a bottle of breast milk each night but he totally doesn't eat every 2-3 hours. He eats alllll the time. Like every hour unless he takes a long nap or does he 3-4 hour sleep stretch during the night. He's a month old. Is it still normal for him to cluster feed like that? And when he eats he doesn't eat for long before falling asleep then he'll be up within 20-30 mins. Every time a family member comes over and sees how much I'm nursing him they say "are you sure he's getting enough" and questioning my breast milk so it's making me think. Do y'all think my milk isn't good enough for him or is it still normal to have that kind of nursing behavior at a month old? He's definitely gaining weight and he definitely has enough wet/ poopy diapers a day. He goes through like 12-15 a day. I'm just worried because of how he has to constantly nurse.

@pcchamp that's exactly what my baby does! I just wanted to make sure it was normal and that he wasn't just eating like that cause he wasn't getting enough nutrients or something. Glad to know I'm not alone.
Thank you ladies. That makes me feel better because I was seriously starting to question my milk. I think outsiders just don't understand if they have never breastfed before or don't know much about it because I myself had no idea until I started doing it. He's definitely gaining weight tho we just switched to size one diapers and he's outgrown all his newborn stuff fitting in 0-3 and 3. And we go thru diapers like crazy!
Very normal.
Breastfeeding is about more than just nutrition. Even being at the breast & having the hormones/endorphins released during bfing helps brain development & nueropathway development.
As long as baby is gaining weight & is having sufficient wet/dirty diapers then you are making enough milk & your milk is just fine.
Babies are supposed to nurse a lot.
I use a soother to stretch my guy out a bit between feeds. I find if he goes a bit longer between feeds he feeds for longer. If I let him feed every hour he will often only feed for 5 mins.
