Does anybody else's breastfed baby do this?
Does anybody else's breastfed baby do this?
For the past week or so sometimes when I'm nursing my baby he will randomly scream and pull away. I have no idea why or what it means. Idk if it means he's not hungry or if to much or to little is coming out. Or if he just wants to suck on something without getting milk. I have no idea. He doesn't do it every time just every so often and just recently started it. Does anybody else's baby do this?

I agree it's very frustrating cause I'll take him off and he'll continue to freak out acting still hungry. Sometimes he will burp other times he will just fall asleep on my chest while I'm trying to burp. He just did that a few mins ago actually and now he's sleeping on me lol. So confusing.

My daughter has started doing this the past two nights... it's so frustrating and hard to calm her down! She usually does have a big burp to get out.

Yeh my baby seems to pull at nipple when he needs to burp.. I was like what are u doing and I kinda remembered it from my feeding my first too definitely needs burping for us giv it a try ?

Mine does this when my milk slows down. I have no where near enough milk production for my baby. So sometimes he will drink a 1-2oz bottle of formula after. ? He's eating a ton!

Mine does that when the milk is coming out too forcefully. But i can always tell because there is milk dripping everywhere when he pulls off!

My baby sometimes fights my boob! No joke will scream and scratch at it (ouchie with those nails!) and then demand I keep feeding him. I feel abused!

I also read it can be that they have a bit of gas and need to burp. About 80% of the time when this happens, my little girl gives out a nice big burp and goes back to feeding no problem.

Mine does sometimes, I have to use a nipple shield and gets gas sometimes bc air gets in

Yes my son has been doing this I have no idea what it means I just want to fix it . Don't know what to do.

I've noticed my son doing this lately before getting a letdown. I was thinking growth spurt also.

Mine does this in the beginning sometimes before he really gets going, and then sometimes randomly will scream and pull away to fart or poop and then keep going lol.

My baby turned a month yesterday! I think it's baby fits already lol (I'm in for it) sometimes she does better when I stop trying to feed her for a bit and hold her up to look around.

My baby did that today lol most likely a growth spurt

At certain times of day the milk flow can be slower, so maybe baby gets mad cuz it's not coming out fast enough! Mine does it too often

@runsyellowlights he's a month old on Monday so I'm thinking maybe it is a growth spurt.
@kayla that's exactly what my baby does. I hate it. It's so confusing lol.

Same as ^ PP and not all the time but def frustrating when it happens.

My baby does it too. It's like she's frustrated with my nipple. But then she roots for it and does it all over again. Trying not to give her a binky.

Growth spurts bring random nonsensical nursing behavior. I would say it's probably that.
