Does anybody know what this means? What it says next to blood? Non hemolyzed: trace? I tried looking it up but I can't really find anything. Something said it could indicate a uti but they didn't say anything to me about it.

Reading the Reagent Pads
When the colors move beyond the negative/neutral zone.
BLOOD—Non-Hemolyzed, consider kidney glomerular or urinary tract infection, hypertension, (in female double check for current menstrual cycle.) Hemolyzed, consider oxidative stress, allergy, liver inflammation. Lack of integrity or urinary tract epithelium from low vitamin A, C, bioflavenoids, calcium. In the presence of a positive reading for ASCORBIC ACID (which may increase in the urine from Vitamin C intake, fruit juice or antibiotics), lower level BLOOD readings may occur leading to false negative results.

So do you think it means uti? I don't know why they didn't say anything to me.

I think with it being trace, they're more likely not going to think anything of it

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I kinda feel like I have one because I keep having to pee but not a lot so I don't know if it's just the baby making me feel like by being on my bladder or if I'm paranoid or what lol.

It's most likely normal. With the increased pressure in pregnancy - this could Be normal finding.

Okay. Thanks girl. I was just wondering cause it was never on any of my other screenings.

Trace I wouldn't worry. I would just keep an eye open for any other uti symptoms.
kori·
Okay that's what I'll do. And load up on water lol.

I'm a nurse. That sample has come back clear! Nothing there to indicate an infection or anything.

Thank you! That makes me feel better. I've been paranoid about it.
