anyone just nursing?

Ive been only nursing since my little one came into this world hes 9 weeks but hes been sick for 5 weeks almost and im afraid when his health finally gets back to normal that he wont have enough milk cuz i will only pump when i need to go out and do something which is rare and takes forever. i was told to pump more but i always say i will and never do anyone else do the same? Its not that i dont care cuz i do i just always end up getting stuck doing something . ehh:(

I am EBF as well. I also loathe pumping. I take moringa capsules to boost my supply as needed and don’t pump unless i am engorged. I would start with taking something to help increase your supply if you don’t want to pump.

I’m EBF. When I go somewhere I just breastfeed her wherever I’m at. I do supplement once in a while when she’s just not settling down and I don’t pump because I feel like it’s way too many pieces to clean. I rather just pop out my boob and feed her that way. My lo is sick right now and she is for sure not eating as much as normal but I’m not too worried about it because I know it’s just while she’s sick and as soon as she feels better she will be eating more.

As your LO begins to feel better he will start eating more and your body will start making more. Just like if he was growing. It will be okay. My LO has been sick the last 2 weeks. She is finally feeling better thank goodness! She was nursing every hr and a half for like 10 mins cause she couldnt breath. Doc said it was normal and that she would level back out after feeling better

We’ve supplemented twice: once I took my oldest to a swimming lesson and my husband forgot to thaw milk. Second time was a high feed day and he wouldn’t settle at bedtime so gave him a wee bit to help fill him up. I pumped 5 oz off one breast yesterday morning so I’m not worried about supply. I have no problem supplementing if needed, it’s a great option, just expensive.

As long as you’re nursing him when he’s hungry you’re making enough milk for him. Unless you need a freezer stash it’s not necessary to pump at all (unless you are away from him during one if his normal feeds)
