sanitizing pacifiers and bottles

I go in for my c section on the 19th at 39 weeks and one day. I was curious if it would be to early to sanitize pacifiers and bottles tomorow? And whats the best way to sanitize. I believe with my son 4 years ago i boiled hot water than dropped them in? Also curious if any of u got bottle warmers? If u did which is a good one to get if u have different brands of bottles thats affordable.thank you!?

No, you didn't over do it. Formula is not sterile. Bottles, nipples included need to be washed and sterilised after each use. This is standard practice and really stressed to bottle feeding mothers in the UK.

Thats very smart! To be honest with my first i think i sterlized bottles and pacifiers each time i cleaned them. But i might have over done it lol.

Ur welcome. And by the way I like to Sterilize the babys bottle nipples once a month just because I don't like spending the money on buying new nipples all the time. The milk if your formula feeding can sometimes make the nipples all nasty looking. ?

I use the baby Cuisinart sterilizer for my babies bottles and pacifiers! I absolutely LOVE it! I'm glad that my mom got it for me. BEST baby gift ever. I just used it and put her bottles back in the box until she gets here. My mom also got me the baby Cuisinart food maker / bottle warmer. I've haven't tried the bottle warmer yet but I have used it to make baby food and it works great! Do a lil review looking before really spending the money on one (:

I boiled all the pacifiers and bottles about 3 weeks ago so that way they are all ready to go. Just boil about 5 min

Yeah I keep it on the entire five minutes and then take them out to cool down. I've heard it's only necessary to sterilize them the first time though, which is why I'm not bothering purchasing a microwave sterilizer. After this, I'll be using the dishwasher or hand washing.

I don't think it's too early. I sterilized mine a month ago and just made sure I put the tops back on them in a clean space. I just dropped mine in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes.

To sterilize the best thing for me was the microwave sterilizer! Takes 5 minutes and as long as you keep it closed, it will keep bottles and such sterile. I have the o e below, but there are cheaper and different ones.
