Medication and the pill!!!!!
I was given some Omeprazole for excess acid in my stomach, read the leaflet and said nothing about affecting the pill. I started taking it last Tuesday before I started a new pack. After a couple of days started getting symptoms that I had when I had during ovulation, slept with my partner on the Tuesday that I started the medication. Just read online that Omeprazole may stop the birth pill from working just found this out now. Might I get pregnant again or nothing to worry about? Help x

It's best to ask a pharmacist for a more accurate answer, since they specialize in drug interactions. That said, if there is in fact a possibility of the meds affecting ur birth control, then yes, there's a possibility of pregnancy.

If your leaflet didn't say that omeprazole affects the pill, then omeprazole does not affect the pill.

I'm a bit confused as it says it on the website and pharmacy says it might affect the birth control. Don't know what to believe x
