Fire in London!! Feel for the poor people in the tragic fire in the tower block!! Have you all heard about it?

Very devastating, my heart melted I pray for consolation and there hearts eventually filled with happiness, my old work place was right next to the flat as in literally ?

Are you family and friend ok? It's such a horrible thing for anyone to go through :(

It's heartbreaking, the poor families, communities, friends and area. It's just unimaginable.

However the problem is the answer is no one knows who was in there and where, if that makes sense. Families could be away, people don't always watch the news etc. Families may have had relatives/friends staying that will take a long time to work out.

It'll come down to forensics and that can take a long time, it's similar to the twin towers some people are still classed as 'missing' as they couldn't formally identify a lot of people. In time I hope they identify a cause, identify who made the decision to use the cheap cladding materials and lessons are learnt. I fear not as if they had learnt from the last fire sprinklers would have been installed and has pipes no where near communal corridors. I hope the families get answers and some form of closure. It won't bring back their lost ones but may help having answers xx

Yes this outrageous procedure of staying inside in case there is a fire in one of the flats or building, and people naively followed it. It's heartbreaking we just want know and identify the bodies but we aren't allowed to do so. The media and council and government and micromanaging the grief of people and not being honest about the real numbers who are dead. Only less than 100 made it out where are the rest?

@eri how awful for u to witness that. I've been following updates etc and the witness accounts are harrowing. The amount of ppl unaccounted for is just heartbreaking and so many of them are children.

Is it true the residents were being told to stay inside at first.. and not leave their flats?? .

Unfortunately this happened at my door step, I've been up for two days since this has happened. My brother in law and friend lived in grenfell tower. I'm shocked, angry and upset and generally overwhelmed. Innocent children, families and elderly women/men have lost their lives. It was like watching a scene from a movie, people screaming and shouting for help. I hope they get justice ??

I reckon there is guna b a lot more than 6 ? the eye witness account of a woman throwing her baby out the window to ppl on the ground just turns my blood cold. So so sad xx

Does anyone know of there is anyway you could possibly send clothes to them, I have baby clothes and 4 year old boys clothes and some women's I could donate but I'm so far away in the north east ?

I can't believe people complained about lack of fire safety in that building a year ago and now this ? it's heartbreaking, I can't imagine the fear.

Someone on my instagram was near by and the videos he took are just awful! I read it on the news that people where throwing their children out windows shouting "save my children" it's heartbreaking. And some woman has lost 2 of her 6 kids she can't find them! ?

I don't live too far from it and it is absolutely heartbreaking, we want to go and donate baby stuff and children clothes but the roads are all shut off and traffic is at a standstill. Those poor poor families ???
