My daughter is 2 years 8 months and has recently gone from cotbed to toddler bed - same size and she still has loads of room but we wanted the cotbed for her baby brother.
Had we not needed it I would definitely not have bothered moving her yet as bedtimes aren't quite as smooth anymore! Gro clock has been brilliant though if you do decide to try - she might wake up before the clock but she will not come out of her room until she sees it turn orange.
Well, Scarlett is still in hers at 21 months and she has loads of room and never tries to climb out. However I'm pregnant so I want the cot for the next baby. I have brought a bed for Scarlett but I'm so nervous to put her in it ? I like that she's refined to her cot as sometimes she messes around before bed, atleast I know she's not up to no good! X
My OH's twins were 2 years 8 months when we took both sides off their cot beds, they'd been fine with one side off for a while but I can't remember how long unfortunately. My OH told his ex we'd done that but she didn't move them out of cots and in to beds until they were just turned 3. I will hope to do it sooner with this baby but will see how things pan out, I think we've done a lot 'later than usual' with the twins but I guess when there's 2 it just seems harder work.
Isabella has loads of room still and ideally I'd like her to stay in it as long as possible x
Sam was around 14/15months when he went into his toddler bed. He never climbed out of his cot or anything but he used to get upset and hit the bars and try and get out so we put him in the bed so that he had that bit more freedom and after a few nights of getting in and out of bed he soon got used to it x
My youngest recently changed from a cot to a bed, she was 20 months and did really well, the first night I spent 1 1/2 hours putting her back in but the following day she went straight to sleep, not had a problem since.
