Private nurseries are open all year round, council nurseries are term time only x
Shellie·
But council nurserys you have to be over 2 I think?

Private ones are open all year round. I don't know how old your daughter is but if she gets her free council hours those are only through term time x
Shellie·
She's 16 months and I only need mornings for 5 days a week but term time as I work term times x

You'd probably just need to put her in a private nursery then, I work term time too so my sons always been in all year round since he was 1 then when he got his council hours they just adjusted the fees x
Shellie·
I don't want her to go when I'm at work plus I don't want to pay when I don't need her there do you see what I mean? X

So do you work all year round or only certain months? X
Shellie·
I work when the kids are at school, so get half term and 6 weeks summer holidays Christmas Easter off ect xx

Not sure how that would work but I'm sure it must be possible since I'm sure private nurseries must cater for loads of teachers....maybe best giving them a call and finding out xx

Mine offers term time only and it was seriously the best decision I could have made for my kids!
Shellie·
Got a nursery calling me back tomorrow after speaking with her head office to see if she can do it! I hope she can!! X

I use a private nursery term time only as I'm a teacher. When looking I sent round a load of emails asking if they did term time only contracts. Some did, some didn't. I'm sure you'll find one xx

I'm going to be starting a childminder term time only in August! Just ask them if they do it :) X
Shellie·
I have A childminder atm but think she will benefit more from being in a nursery than where she is arm xx

I would call any you are interested in and ask them - I think some do offer term time only but don't necessarily advertise it unless you ask.

Just call around and ask. My son is term time. In our area there are 3 that offer term time placements. 3 don't offer it at all xx

A lot of private schools have nurseries that are open only term time and are either the same price or cheaper here. The downside is from two they wear a uniform xx
