School- who do I ask?

So my sons school don't do the regular tradition nativity play that I used to do at school. Who would I speak to as to why they don't?

We only do nativity for children in year nursery up to year 2 in my kids school we have had some not so normal nativities but always involves nativity some how older children do a Christmas concert but if you don't wish for your child to take part then you have to write a letter to the head explaining why so I would suggest that you speak to the head teacher

We don't have a Catholic nursery so my son attends a non denominational nursery and I have just been to his nativity . My older son attends the Catholic primary school and they do the nativity but that's a religious school xx

Very few schools do now- except Church schools. I think the consensus is, it's important to teach children of all faiths about the nativity but by performing it, it's forcing them to celebrate Christianity. There's a difference between learning about other faiths and celebrating their traditions and a lot of schools think that it crosses that line.

(My personal opinion is very few parents would care but the schools have to cover their backs for the one or two who may complain, and it's a massive pain for teachers if a parents withdraws their child from the play as so much time is spent rehearsing!)

You should definately bring it up. There are probably quite a few other parents who feel the same. Traditions need to be kept alive and fought for x

Just ask his class teacher. I would think all of the teachers know why they don't. I don't know any non CofE/catholic schools that do a full nativity because they aren't religious schools so don't do a religious play.

ETA- I went to a CofE primary school where we did the nativity, then moved to a non faith school where we did a non religious Christmas play.

Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?

Locking your doors We are having a discussion on one of my birth boards from my older kids about locking doors and security alarms. There are many of us (me included) who do not lock our doors at home (I actually don't even have a deadbolt on my house and we don't lock it when we leave either), and others who think that's totally weird. So what do you do? Do you lock your doors? Do you think it's weird that people don't?

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
