I'd love to be something in maternity and recently my local hospital were looking for maternity care assistants I couldn't find the job online then a mum at the school is also a maternity care assistant there said the closing date had just gone. Today she gave me her boss's email address and said to email her. My question is what should I say in the email?

I would just say something along the lines of u are very interested in progressing a career in maternity and u had hoped to apply for that job but u had no success in finding it online or wherever it was and say that u didn't want to miss the opportunity but would there be any chance u could still apply?xx
