I'm on the depo and the first 2 shots gave me irregular bleeding constantly! I'm on my 3rd shot now and haven't bled for the whole time but I'm due to get it done next week and iv noticed spotting like bleeding today.. Might just be the injection xx

I was the same, had the shot every 10/11 weeks to stop me getting a normal period (prior to depo my periods lasted 2 weeks).

Although when I stopped getting it I had a really heavy period constantly for 6 at least 6 months & had to have medication to try to stop it. Eventually it stopped and my periods are now more regular and thankfully only last 1 week, but because of that I'd never go back on it.

But I understand it does work for other people & I didn't have any issues whilst on the depo. Xx

I had my first shot about a week ago, I've also started spotting and the period pain is unreal ?. I was on it before I got pregnant with Quinn, for 3 years never had this problem then I didn't even get a period.

I use to be on the implant, but it caused me to have extremely heavy periods. I would literally be on for 4 weeks, then stop for about 3 days, and then have another period for a month. Because of that the nurse gave me the depo shots too, to stop my heavy periods. And it worked! Had no symptoms whatsoever, and my periods were regular and back to their normal cycle. It's a shame, because every woman is different. I would definitely go and see your nurse, like I did. They will work something out. Good luck! X

I might just go get the pill again and ditch the depo and then get my oh to remind me each day cos I bet he remembers that! Then if he forgets and I end up pregnant it's his fault hahahaha ( I want more babies he doesn't ) xx

Well if this spotting and cramping doesn't ease up, I won't be getting my next shot. I'll also have to go on pill, I'm just worried I'll forget to take it xx

I used the EVRA patch for 3 years before TTC. It's discrete and you only need to change it every 7 days. You can wear back to back so you don't have to have a period if inconvenient and it stays in place despite showers/saunas/gym. I had no side effects unlike the pill. I can never understand why it's not more widely used.

Officially one day late...

Officially one day late... I've just realized that I'm one day late for my period. I've been so busy with my son going to kindergarten and preparing him for t-ball, and getting my daughters speech therapy and preschool in order that I forgot my period was due this week.
