Milk
Isabella just isn't interested really, she'll have a couple of ounces in the morning when she wakes up the a couple mid morning and a couple in the afternoon. She had dinner at 5 tonight and has just gone to bed cos she fell asleep, (normal time for her) and didn't drink any of her bedtime bottle. Gonna speak to HV Wednesday about it. But is anyone's else baby's like it? Xx

Just read you are weaning , sorry Tilly is having bottles only! Sorry no advice, should have read the comments before adding one #babyBrain ??

Tilly has many days like this, not all in one go but here and there she will refuse like 2 bottles or we have a day where she will only drink half bottle at each feeding . Today she drunk all bottles real quick but yesterday she would only drink half of her normal feed. Sometimes I worry but I think it's like with us adults , we have some days where we don't feel hungry too. She is putting on weight very well xxx

Thank you everyone xx

That's sounds just fine I wouldn't worry at all but still ask the health visitor if your worried xx

She has anywhere between 3-6 oz when she wakes up but not in one go, prob over the space of an hour. Then her mid morning bottle between 3/4 oz then afternoon bottle between 3-6 oz but that's over the space of an hour or so. Then bedtime around 3 oz sometimes more sometimes less everyday is different. She loves yoghurt xx

That's so bad how I wrote that sounds like he's having larger haha xx

A pint of milk in that case she should be having 3 bottles but im sure 2 is okay if she's having 3 meals .. Just give her a yogurt x
Shellie·
A pint of water or milk? She's nearly 7 months x

How old is she ? My boy is 10 months and been told he should only be having a pint a day x ( but he has a lot more if he wants it I give it to him) x

Don't worry that's normal as its time her tummy is realising she wants food rather than milk! This is exactly what happened to Evelyn once I started weaning her, she just wasn't interested in milk so I had to ask other mums for reassurance whether this was normal, they all said their babies did the same. Just continue giving her solids and milk when she wants it but have water on demand all day! If she doesn't like water.. heinz do a fruity spring water for babies 6+ months that you can find in baby food isles in the shops! this is what I give Evelyn xx

Yeah you can do if she didn't normally finish it anyway & if she tends to have a bottle not long after her food but if not you can just make up an ounce or 2? Or just add a scoop of milk powder straight into the food then an ounce of water as well & so on if that makes sense lol xx
Shellie·
Do I just make a normal bottle add some milk to the food then leave the bottle for when she next wants it? Cos otherwise it will be a waste of a whole bottle also a waste of a clean bottle. X
deleted-user·
No it will be fine! You can't really even taste it! Try it first? But honestly it will be fine ☺️xx

I used to add baby milk to most things. I made his porridge up with that & normal milk. Put a few oz in his lunch/tea. As long as she gets dairy in other forms she'll be ok. My son was like this & he loves it now x
Shellie·
Will it taste funny? Lol sorry sound so stupid lol xx
deleted-user·
Yes definitely add milk instead Hun ??xx
Shellie·
No she never has water :/ I tried to give her some today and she took A bit, I will keep trying her with water everyday from now on? You know when her food need to be made runnier, I add abit of water shall I add milk instead? Xx
deleted-user·
I wouldn't say it really matters as long as she's having plenty to eat & other drinks? Does she drink water often? & Like pp said you can give her calcium in different forms & try to add milk into everything, mashed potatoes, cereals etc , wheatabix are great as you can add loads to them (add a little leave it for 5 mins add more & so on ) xx

My dd was the same. Hv said to make sure shes having plenty dairy to compensate e.g. cheese, yogurts
Shellie·
Do you think it matters? She's eating food and having some milk. Just not a huge amount. Xx

Amelia's doing this its soo frustrating she'll literally spit it at me haha xx

Could be that she's more interested in food at the moment and is taking less milk to see what other food she can get lol Mia went through a stage of that too it was like no mummy milks boring me now let me feed myself and make mess lol xx
Shellie·
She's on 3 meals a day. But I know milk should be there main source of food. She does have milk but just not a lot x

Mia went through a stage of this around 4-5 months I had an awful time trying to get milk into her, was actually because I needed to go up a teat size xo
