Can anyone suggest a highchair? Cardiologist suggested to start weaning Isabella soon as her milk isn't making her gain much weight! I need one that will suit a little 4 month old but will also suit her when she's bigger too

Can't rate IKEA ones enough. My son wouldn't sit in any other one until he was 7-8 months old

No offence but I dont think an Ikea one would be supportive enough for a little four month old. When I weaned my boy early we got a Chicco Polly, its a great chair, supportive, good straps, lots of positions and lasted until he got big and active and then got the Ikea one!

Defo not an ikea one at only 4 months old the seat is hard etc. Chicco ones are good or I had a red kite feed me Ernest one for Logan that he went in from 4 months don't think they do that one now it's another xx

We just got a cheaper mamas and papas one for £25. We started early too and she was fine in it. In fact I used the bumbo seat quite often in early stages too!

We used the mamas and papas snug early on and then I just got the tesco highchair with turquoise spots on, it does everything the expensive ones do, recline, height positions etc but was only £35, my little boys been in that from around 5 months xx

You can get an insert for the ikea one that blows up to cushion the baby. It's the only high chair my boy would sit in comfortably. We also had an expensive mamas and papas one that he hated, a mamas and papas bumbo that he hated and my mum had a red kite one that he hated! X

I have a mamas and papas pesto highchair and love it, removable test, easy to clean and adjusts to 6 different heights x

I've got the same one as Karen and it's brill! Xx

I used the mamas and papas snug when I first started weaning. it's really supportive and I'd rate it way above the bumbo. Then we moved on to the ikea one. xx

Have a look at feeding in a bouncy chair at 4 months until she is big enough for a high chair. Mine have all started in these as weened early on medical advice x

Try and get one with a sturdy but between the legs so she doesn't slip down. We have the cosatto noodle which has a plastic bit which goes between their legs which my 19 month old still has in, so she could use it before she could sit up and would stay upright.
My in laws have a mothercare one with only a strap between the legs and because the seat is slippery she still slides down now.

We have the mamas and papas pesto, can't rate it enough. Only £50 in argos, lovely and padded and also reclines in 3 positions and 5 different heights. It also has a removable tray that clips on top makes it so much easier cleaning it can just wash it up xx

Ikea every time with the blow up insert. It even goes in the dishwasher......

I love the cosatto 360 ones they adjust hight and look so comfy but are quite pricy.

Why don't you try a bumbo with a tray for now she might have trouble with a high chair so young x

I also have the pesto one brill and amazing value for £50 at argos

Don't know if they still sell them, but I had a cossattoo noodle highchair. My daughter say in it from 4 months and had hypermobility n it gave her the extra support x

I had the fisher price rain forest one and it's expensive around £84.00 but I still have it now at my mums place and I used it for both my children and it's so well made, suitable from 4 months and the best thing about it I think is that it has a plastic middle like in between the legs if that make sence so they couldn't slip down like they can with just the straps my nephew uses the high chair when he's down my mums and my little girl was crying to get in it and she nearly 4 a fitted just fine it's also got 3/4 positions they can sit up or lay down an the seat itself moves up as down on the legs xx
