Cold sores: quickest and best way to get rid of them?

My husband suffers with cold sores, he swears by putting neat alcohol on them, and then he will put Vaseline over them to act as a barrier for any bacteria getting into them, they do usually clear pretty quickly. Xx

My oh will only use them compeed patches. He puts them on and you can hardly see the cold sore, they don't scab over with a patch and are gone in about 3 days. He swears by them

Personally I hate compeed patches and use Zovirax or neat alcohol but without Vaseline

Dr prescribed acivlor cream I find the best as mine are stubborn lol xx

I usually put perfume on them, my sister left her vodka in my fridge could use that but I don't like alcohol so if I can taste it il prob freak out lol thanks tho everyone xxx

Zovirax always works quickly for me. I swear by it xx
