Temp What do I do about a 7 week old with a temperature? :(

They said it's prob viral and of her temp goes above 37.5 to take her to see a doctor! It was 37.2 in there when he checked. He said she can have calpol x

How'd she get on at the doctors? X

Hope everything is ok. I would just dress her in cool cotton clothing with a thin cardigan on and then take blankets that you can easily take on/off.

What should I put on her to go out to the doctors? Don't want her to get cold but then she's warm? X

It wasn't that warm in our room plus we had the window pork which we always do! She slept in her vest and on me most the night she wouldn't settle. She doesn't seem so hot now but she's in just a vest still but got docs at 10:30 x

Defo get seen. Lilly temp was 39.2 when she woke and I rang 111... they sent a paramedic within 10 mins... lucky they did.. she may just be hot as was a warm night.. keep her in just her nappy and keep checking temp every 15 mins see if it comes down ext xxx

Look on the nhs website. It says babies under 3 months need to see a doctor immediately.x

You need to call 111. Babies that young shouldn't have a temp.

This happened to charlie when he was 6 weeks old. Turned out he had a urine infection but he needed antibiotics through a cannula. Hope she's ok. X

I would strip her down to just her nappy as long as your house isnt freezing and see if that helps as even vests can keep their torso warm x

Well the thermometer was taking ages to give a final reading and she was going mad! It got to 37.9 so not stupid high but she feels hot! Not as hot as earlier but she's obviously not feeling well x
