I am not actually due until Thursday. They have tried a sweep but couldn't do it because cervix wasn't open enough. I have another sweep on Thursday. Baby has engaged more and cervix has moved into right position so hopefully wont be too much longer. Last night I was having contractions every 5-6 mins and back ache so only slept a bit. Older two are driving me crackers this morning because they are bored. I an barely walk so going out anywhere sounds like hell. Midwife basically said suck it up baby will be here when its ready. I am at Eden Court Holly. Thank you ladies, I hope once active labour actually starts I progress quite quickly. I dilated quite quickly with my son. Xx

I had this with my second labour. It was exactly a week later he finally came on the morning I was meant to be induced although I did have a sweep two days previous. Hope baby comes soon for you xx

I had it from 37 weeks. Went into real labour at 40+5 it's not harm to the baby, just really horrible for us mums :(

For what it's worth, I laboured very quickly and dilated in 30 mins!

I can't believe how long there letting you go over that long ! Have you told them ur in so much pain? Aren't they doing anything? What about your midwife what docs are u with xx

Ahh Holly I just want a day without pain and 1 decent nights sleep. I can't walk far without feeling like my pelvis and back are going to collapse. Just going up and down the stairs is painful. Baby is back to back aswell which doesnt help. The only thing that helps is the bath but with two other kids and a hubby here baths are a once daily occurrence. Now the kids are on half term I dont know how I will cope all week if I dont have this baby. I just want it out. Xx

So its been nearly 2 weeks now of this crappy latent labour. They wont do anything until Thursday though because baby is happy. Getting so fed up. Just want to meet our baby xx

Thanks ladies, still going :( baby is back to back which doesn't help. Lost what I presume is my plug. Need this baby out now. Xx

I continuously walked up and down the ward and then up and down the stairs then ate a curry and that was it lol my back waters went on the Sunday night and my daughter wasn't born until early hours of Wednesday xx

Mine speeded up using the Daisy birth techniques. Whether you're sat, stood or on all fours try rotating clockwise it helps you dilate quicker and eases the pain of the contractions xx
