To induce at 39 weeks or wait
At 33 weeks I was told my amniotic fluid was 6cm...really low. By being on bed rest, cutting out caffeine and drinking 5 bottles of water a day, I have been able to increase it to 11cm. My doctor said I am no longer considered high risk and she is ready to schedule my induction at 39 weeks. I told her I wanted to go to 40 weeks, which she is fine with. I want to experience going into labor naturally. With my first, I was induced at 41 weeks. I'm debating just biting the bullet and getting induced at 39 weeks. Are you ladies with healthy pregnancies getting induced at 39 weeks, or waiting. If you are waiting, how many weeks will you give your baby before you get induced. My dr doesn't like to let her patients go past 40 weeks. She said she is surprised she allowed me to go to 41 weeks during my last pregnancy.
Ive been debating the same thing! I still dont know what im going to do. My first i was 40 weeks and tore soo bad because he was big
This one is measuring bigger then my first so im scared to wait the full 40 weeks!:( idk what to do! The midwife said she suggests 39 weeks because he was already measuring 6lbs 60th percentile at 34 weeks!!
I was induced with both of my boys and will be induced with this baby at 39 weeks. My doctor agreed to it because my husband is deployed and my mom will only be visiting for a short period of time. I would rather not go into labor and be all alone. There is definitely nothing wrong with waiting though :)
I got induced at 39+4 cuz my son was measuring large. I was wanting a smooth vaginal delivery and was concerned about a shoulder dystocia or needing a csection. I'm ultimately glad we elected to induce. My delivery went really smoothly and I had only a tiny first degree tear despite the baby being bigger than even the ultrasound estimates (9lb 9 oz).
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
for you mommy's asking 39 weeks is the NATIONWIDE standard for induction you can ask to be induced at 39 weeks if B makes it to 39 weeks I will be induced
Please help!
My doctor is trying to induce me before 40 weeks because she's going to be off on my due date and says my placenta is starting to look old. How do I get labor started?? I don't want to be induced for no reason and I'm thinking I won't have a choice. Please help. What do I do to get things going?
Hello this is Ceiamaria husband Mac I told a lot of you that when I knew what happened too my bestie the love of my life it is being said that she had an enlarged heart and again I’m thinking you all your prayers and thought are being felt thank you
As long as my cervix is thinning at 39 weeks my doctor offers induction and I will be doing it! I don't want him to come any earlier and definitely don't want to have to wait longer than needed as long as he is healthy! That's all that matters is baby's health so if dr thinks you are okay to induce I don't see an isssue!
