Q for our Muslim sisters (or brothers)
I was stuck in the car all afternoon and my mind was wandering and I ended up thinking about Muslim traditions. I know y’all don’t celebrate Easter as a religious holiday, but I also know the religion is an “abrahamic” religion. So I was just curious if you celebrate or observe Passover in any manner? Bit of a random question, I know, but I was just curious.
Love that you’re interested, thank you for asking! We used to have a user that did Muslim Q&A regularly but she’s gone now unfortunately.
It’s recognized but not celebrated. This is from my recollection, I’m sorry to my fellow Muslims if I’m wrong.

It’s one of the most referred to stories in the Quran, because it’s a lesson for all mankind. Pharaoh asked Allah for forgiveness right before he died, and he was not forgiven. Allah gave him the opportunity to repent his sins over and over and he denied many times, because of this arrogance and pride. The passage from the Quran is as follows:
“And We brought the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh with his hosts pursued them in rebellion and transgression, till, when the (fate of) drowning overtook him, he exclaimed: I believe that there is no Allah save Him in Whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of those who surrender (unto Him).” (10:90)
And Allah spoke to him:
“What! Now! When hitherto thou hast rebelled and been of the wrong-doers?” (10:91)
“But this day We save thee in thy body that thou mayst be a portent for those after thee. Lo! most of mankind are heedless of Our portents.” (10:92)
So he preserved the body of Pharaoh for a lesson to all the believers and disbelievers. And the children of Egypt and Israel were freed of the tyrant.
These are the translations I have, but there are more specific ones online. I think Quran.com has some of the best translations that are much clearer. If I can find them I’ll also post the link.
The Quran also quotes when they were saved by Allah from Pharaoh:
“Remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Call in remembrance the favor of God unto you, when He produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the peoples." (5:20)
I hope that answers your questions!! I feel like there’s a bit in regards to the fasting but I’m blanking currently; I wish I had more knowledge to be able to share. And I’m sure others will also be able to give you more information!
Allah knows best.
I know this is a dumb question and I know it's ok if it happens but I'm just curious, how many of you pooped when giving birth?? I'm a FTM and I wanna know how common it is
Just curious..
When did you ladies first have sex? I had just turned 18 when I did.
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
Is it strange that I haven't had morning sickness and only just nausea? I know that it's not the same for everyone. But I'm still curious since this is my first pregnancy.
You’re welcome! If you have any more questions, I think I can speak on behalf of all of us, that we don’t mind and would be happy to answer for you ?
