Flanges!!! ?

So with dd1 I got a mesera pump from my insurance but never used it much. (Didn’t work so well anyways). I realized it was cuz the flanges were too big (came with medium). So with dd2 I just bought the smalls online. They were 21 mm vs 24 mm. But we got thrush and I didn’t pump for a while. So it’s been gone a few days so I pumped again and got so much more milk out! But here’s the kicker. They’re still too big ??
