Thanks, everyone. He's a tough little dude. Taking it like a champ.
Oh no ? so sorry to hear that! Hoping for a very speedy recovery
Now your baby will have natural immunity.
Actually, he just got his 6months injections on Wednesday. He was fine then! No fever, no fussiness, nothing!
He started feeling poorly last night and had a red spot on his face. When he woke up this morning he had more spots I thought maybe he was having an allergic reaction to the vaccines so I took him back in.
If anyone is wondering, I'm living in Dublin, Ireland. They do not vaccinate for chicken pox here. Even if they did, it wouldn't be given until 12 months.
This sucks because I'm American and I was supposed to fly to the US with him next week! Not happening now!
Neither the chicken pox nor the MMR vaccine is given until 1 year, so even if op isn't delaying, baby still wouldn't have gotten the vaccines yet.
Praying for y'all.
Yikes! Speedy recovery
Yes like pp said those arent given until at least a year. You will get through it op! Lol I got the chicken pocks at 3 months and then 3 years old. My dr told my mom when I was little that its more common than people realize
MMR is measles, mumps and rubella.
The chicken pox vaccine is varicella and not give till between 12 and 15 months with 4-6 yr boosters.
Really?? Where do you live... Are there Agee more cases where live?? Have you held off on vaccines-just curious, bc I thought that's what the MMR vaccination is for??
Shingles- know the facts Shingles is caused by chicken pox. If you have been vaccinated or have never had chicken pox then you will never get shingles. Residual chicken pox virus lives dormant in the nerve cells closest to the brain and spine. Later in life it can "reactivate" and spread up the nerve to the skin. It will affect only one half of the body at a time. It will look like chicken pox, but it will hurt, not itch. It is unbelievably painful! If you get a blister near your eye it can cause vision loss. It is usually triggered by a weakened immune system or stress. It is only contagious to those that have not been vaccinated AND have never had chicken pox. It doesn't matter to me if your kids are vaccinated or not. Mine are, so they are safe. I just want to make sure that you know the facts about what you are subjecting your children to later in life if you choose not to vaccinate for chicken pox. This concludes my public service announcement. Have a good day!
Is this chicken pox? He has eczema on his shoulders, but the rash on his back is different, appeared last night and he now has some on his neck and chest too. Help!
Vaccinate for chicken pox or let your child get over it naturally? Thoughts?
think i have the chicken pox is that harmful to the baby
Remember how when we were kids everybody got chicken pox at least once? Didn't you ladies get it growing up? Is that still common or?

Thanks for clarifying ladies! Glad your lil man is handling it well. One of my favorite pics as a lil girl is when I had chicken pox. I had a pouty lil look on my face with lil red dots all over my face❤️
