Thrush?
So my nips have become sore and puffy. At baby's 6week checkup his doctor told me it looked like I had some candida starting and to put Canastan cream on them. Now my breasts are swollen like they're engorged (they're not!) and I've got occasional shooting pains. What's the deal? Is this thrush??

It sounds like a fungal infection on your part, not thrush for baby. I had this at the same time as mastitis and talk about uncomfortable!! If it is fungal, you have redness/pain/irritation and this strange electrical shock like pain that occurs. Wierd, I know but that is all telltale signs of a fungal infection according to my OB. They can put you on an extended course of Diflucan and give you an anti fungal cream Nystatin to apply between feedings (wash off before next feed). Hope that helps.
This was a bit much in my opinion. Looks like they're trying to convince themselves more than baby mama...
UPDATE: After 36 hours of labor, my tiny prince has finally arrived and my eyes are closing!! Plus in tons of pain. They're running my pitocin to bring my uterus back to its size 😩 I seriously feel like I'm dreaming!

This is what they gave my son for his thrush. I knew it was thrush too. Has anyone else’s kids had this ?
Has anybody baby had thrush before? My son got thrush at one week old, they prescribed us Nystatin. He's one month today and he still has thrush. idk what to do.
I've heard that it's normal for symptoms of thrush to get worse for a few days after treatment starts.
