Non circumcision care
This idea popped into my head based on an earlier post. So, I'm American and most men in the US are circumcised. No one in my family knows anything about caring for a little boy baby or child's uncircumcised penis. And my boyfriend, even though he's Irish, had to get his circumcised for medical reasons when he was 7 so he has no idea how to care for our baby's penis if we have a boy. Can anyone tell me if we need to do anything to keep our kid healthy? Thanks!

I've a little boy and don't do anything other than use baby wipes and wash in the bath, the mid wife in the hospital will show u how to change nappy and bath if you ask and your unsure about anything don't be afraid to ask the nurse/midwife or your public health nurse who will visit u when come home from hospital, I have to say I found support great I was really afraid of the belly button peg where the umbilical cord was attached, I got nurse to check several times ???

Intact boys are super easy to care for! Just wipe down like a finger and never retract since at birth the foreskin is adhered to the penis like a fingernail to the fingernail bed. Many nurses and doctors don't know proper intact care, however, so never let your son out of your sight since many believe forced retraction to be necessary.

Thewholenetwork.org has a lot of great info and also you can order little bands for your baby that say "don't retract" for when you're in the hospital :)
