Breastfeeding while pg
Hi, again!! Been a while so I’m hoping some ladies still check this board. I’m expecting baby no. 2 in July, and my 2-year-old will be 2 years 8 months when he/she arrives. I still breastfeed and it was starting to really bother me physically (realllly sensitive nips), but now it seems she’s weaning bc she didn’t even ask to nurse at nap time today & only asked for 1 side at bedtime! ?I thought I wanted this but now I feel strangely sad... anyone else go through this? I guess it’s better bc I wasn’t sure how I would get thru the pg & tandem nursing a newborn & toddler. Sorry for the long rant. Just the end of the night & im feeling a little emoshe. ?
Thanks for the reply, Shelby! And I see you appreciated the meme ?
Yes over the past few days she’s gone back and forth on nursing before bed and naptime so I’m really not sure when we’ll really be done. I may end up tandem nursing like you. Thanks, again ?
I’m sorry, I can’t offer much advice because I nursed my daughter through my second pregnancy. I thought she was self weaning (as she only nurses before nap and bedtime), but she picked back up and now I’m currently nursing my 4 week old and also still nursing her twice a day (she’ll be two on the 28th). I will say that I thought I wanted her to wean while I was pregnant, but I felt he same way as you’re saying you feel when she actually seemed to be starting to! I think it’s a normal reaction. ❤️

My husband and I aren’t exactly strangers when it comes to relationship challenges 💞. We have been together for 14 years and married for eight, so we’ve definitely gone through some growing pains as we navigated a long-distance relationship in college and our first year living together as a married 👫 couple.
But nothing has challenged our relationship quite like our first year as 👪 parents .

“You look too young to be a mom!”
Or how about …
“You have a BABY? No! You look like a baby yourself!”👶
Oh wait, here’s a good one …
“Are you the nanny, ooor … ?”
“No, yeah I’m his mom,” I’d reply. “Yes, I am young,” I’d agree.
Considering I got pregnant straight out of college, I was certainly on the younger end of the parenting spectrum. (No one was more surprised than me, I assure you.) And yet, I wasn’t exactly a teen mom. I wasn’t juggling school courses and motherhood, like so many s...
I went through something similar with my two older children. I weaned at 2yrs shortly after I got pregnant with my second and then third. I had to wean bc I was so sick I could barely keep myself nourished. Anyway, it was hard bc nursing is so special and bonds us in a way nothing else can. However, I knew I would be nursing a new little one soon and she deserved that special time too. I don’t think tandem nursing would have been right for me. I am currently nursing my third child who is just 12 weeks now. ❤️?
Good luck to you! Hugs!
