Updates on your babes
Ladies! Fill me in on your babies- I mean, toddlers (gahh!)
Ben got diagnosed as being autistic in July. He's not saying much just mom, dad and ben. Obviously the important people in life ? he's happy majority of the time. Definitely has melt downs and gets frustrated easily especially when we can't figure out what he wants and we tell him no. He's obsessed with balls. And running and jumping and throwing and kicking. He loves his blankets. Singing I love you a bushel and a peck, happy birthday and the wheels on the bus always calm him down. His favorite movies are the incredibles, monsters inc and toy story. He's going to be buzz lightyear for Halloween. We're having a joint carnival themed party for him and his big brother whose turning 8 in 2.5 weeks. Can't believe how big everyone is! Time is for sure flying and no friend of mine.
Sienna is crazy smart! I just don't remember kids knowing so much before two. She can already count to 12, recognizes numbers, shapes and colors and communicates wonderfully. She recently said her first sentence which was " How do you do?" I'm sure she picked up on that from the finger family so g that she hears relatively on you tube. She loves music and to see her dance makes me smile. She's so tall. The crossing guard lady thoughts was three already. Although she's smart as a whip she doesn't have much interest in potty training. Shes a big eater but I need to hide her green vegetables or she won't eat them. Except peas. She loves peas. She loves to laugh and sing but when she doesn't have her way or she's tired what a little grump. All the best to the November mother's. I can't believe our babies are almost one.
Hi everyone,
Jacob loves mickey mouse and anything music related. He has a drums and piano, bless us.
He loves food, I call him Mikey. He will eat anything, his food and everybody else food too.
Him and big sister fight a lot, sharing is still foreign to him. He can be the most caring and observant child though. He's always asking you okay mommy if it looks like I'm crying. He will wipe your tears and eveeything.
The babes are getting TOO smart!! Lol! Tara - glad you guys enjoyed the zoo!! so great being able to get out of the house & enjoy it now, AMIRIGHT? Haha
@sharyllynn - Hadlee is a little genius! Layla also loves peas & cookies lol... and she's also not a great wake-up person, either! Lately I think she's waking from her naps before she's ready & I swear some days she just cries in my arms about being awake for a good 10 minutes! So crazy lol
Hadlee is doing good. She loves to play at her coloring table. She also loves to play tea party and pretend to cook. She knows colors and some shapes. She can count to 10. She loves to watch bubble guppies and Daniel tiger.
She eats everything. She really likes peas and strawberries and thinks she should have a cookie for every meal. Oh she also loves Starbucks.
We also enjoying throwing fits when we don't get our way. She is also not a wake up person so mornings and naps can be rough unless you let her lay in bed for like 20 minutes before you disturb her.
She is also in a toddler bed and binky free.
Both your kids sound adorable. Em was obsessed with Minnie & Mickey. I think we watched every every episode 100 times. Em is really into her ABC's, counting, colors & shapes & Super Why. She's gone from a talking delay to knowing her abc's, counting 1-10, knowing several colors & shapes. She is singing parts from her fave songs too. Like me she gets grumpy when she's hungry. Our speech therapist printed out a pick of her sippy cup & fave snack & she hands us the cards when she's hungry or thirsty. We stated by showing her the card then giving her the cup or snack right away. Then showing her the cards & having her point to what she wants & now we leave the cards out & she gives them to us when she wants to eat or drink. We're also giving her choices between two things now too. It's working very well. Poor Em has a cold, but it's getting much better. We went to the zoo for the first time recently & had a wonderful time. She made animal sounds at the ducks, sheep & monkey. It was so cute. I can't believe we'll have two year olds soon ?.
Thanks for the reply! I was wondering if this thing was on ?haha
Your little man sounds like a little genius! That's amazing that he's pointing out numbers already! Layla counts to 13 bc we count the stairs going up & down them every day. And good for you for being so far along with a toddler to chase around! I hope you get some r&r when you need it.
She's loving Minnie's Bow-Toons right now, & Dory, too. She's also OBSESSED with the carousel & asks to go ("caaa-sou") basically every day, which isn't great bc the one near us isn't open every day!
Overall, she's a happy & healthy girl. Loves her veggies, altho she's starting to refuse certain foods like zucchini & tomatoes. But overall, eating is great. And we noticed she'll pout & have a little tantrum whenever she's hungry. 2 nights ago she was super fussy...we had dinner, & suddenly she was all-smiles! She gets hangry like her mama ☺️
My son is obsessed with Peppa Pig... the first thing he says in the morning is "Pig?" what I love about the show is that the episodes are so short... so we can watch one after breakfast and before he goes to preschool. He started to sing along with the songs he knows. Haha! Besides that, he loves his cars. He can play for hours with his matchbox and he knows which 3 are his Porsches... his Daddy is from Stuttgart (the birthplace of the Porsche) so I guess the Apple really didn't fall far from the tree there!!
He amazes me with how he's picking out numbers 1-9 when we're out... he'll point at the grocery store checkout and say the numbers etc. he wants to "read" the cereal box and points out the letters he knows. He's a clever boy... knows a lot of words and every day is a treat to see what else he can do.
He is starting to have major temper tantrums. The other night he threw his plate on the ground bc he was mad I took his soup away. He'd had a lot of soup already, and I wanted him to eat some chicken and veggies. He disagreed and threw his plate across the room ? he got himself some "quiet time" for that, but came down like a new kid and happily ate some chicken and veggies. ? rollercoaster!
I'm fine - I'm 35 weeks and expecting a girl in the next 3 weeks or so. If I'm completely honest, the pregnancy has become a little bit burdensome... lots of cramps and contractions this last week, very bad back pain, and I'm just out of steam with a nearly 2 y/o running around. I know she needs to bake in there a bit longer, but I'm ready for her to get here!
What about your LO?
Hi!!
We haven't been on here in forever!!
My sweet girl will be 2 on the 22nd and LOVES dory and Elmo.
She's the best singer and dancer around and she can swim without floaties!!!
She basically eats anything all the time yet its super picky and won't eat at all.. Its confusing.
She's my best friend!!
