Indoor activities
Hey, ladies! We've been having an easier time with sleep lately (knock on wood), but we notice she does best when she's had an active day, esp outside by the water table, baby pool, beach, etc.
Pintrest. Toddler Pandora station and dancing. YouTube has toddler yoga videos that they "Go on a trip during", can't remember the name. Make an obstacle course. Play with balloons. Take popsicle sticks and attach ribbons to run around and dance with. Make playdough, slime, puffy paint. Do "science experiments". A layer of baking soda, dots of food coloring, layer of baking soda, put vinegar in a spray bottle and spray it on the baking soda. It starts bubbling. You could teach colors and color mixing that way also works on her fine motor skills (spraying the spray bottle). Pintrest has a exploding baggy experiment my kids liked.
Seriously. Pintrest is your best friend.
If you need more ideas message me, I'm a 2 year old teacher at a early learning center so I have plenty of activities.
Thanks for the ideas! I've been trying to come up stuff that'll physically exhaust her, but many of those are great for mental stimulation, too!
High chair and paint. Building blocks. I went to a teacher store tons of things to do inside the house kinda toys. Play in his room if he doesn't already. Sensory noodles. Boil them in food coloring. Laundry basket and put ropes through the holes and put toys on the bottom and they have to figure a way out to bring out the toy. You can also do this on a hallway, and make it like a laser kinda thing and he needs to crawl or stand or twist to get through. ( pintrest has tons)
No problem. I had just finished lesson plans when I saw your post so they were all fresh on my mind!
