Let's talk potty training
How old was LO when you did it? Straight to undies? Reusable pull-ups for the early stage? Did you talk it up before plunging in, or did you just take a weekend to go for it? DD is 19 months but showing LOTS of signs of readiness, including peeing in her potty chair once already. But I don't want to push it!
When my older kids were little (teenagers now) the advice was 27 months that worked well for my older kids (disposable diapers) so that's were I aimed for my toddler. We did have a potty before then and would set her on it from time to time starting at about 18 months but just made it fun. When we got down to business it was bottomless at home cloth trainers (best bottom) out and about. Then panties and eventually only trainers at night.
Best advice I heard is that potty training is a marathon not a sprint. Accidents will happen....lots of them just keep it positive.
Sarah, was he in a toddler bed when you night trained? Layla's still in her crib so I'm also wondering how it would work.
With my 10 year old, I started sitting him on the potty at 18 months old just to get him used to it. It definitely helped. Once he turned 2 he started showing signs he was ready and we went straight to undies, even at daycare. Once he had it down during the day (about 2 weeks) we went to undies at night and used a washable bed pad over his sheets for easy accident changes at night.

Thanks for the advice! I'm starting to think it's still too soon, she's resisting sitting on the potty more these days
