Babywearing walking baby

Babywearing walking baby

DD is almost 1 now and taking lots of steps on her own at a time. I used to wear her all the time & we both loved it, but now find that if I let her walk and explore she 1) Gets better & better at it, and 2) Tires out better for naps/sleep.

After 1, I babywear as needed: Fighting naps, through airports/busy parking lots/theme parks, when I just have to get dinner done, long walks/hikes, etc. Sometimes I'll go months without wearing.

My lo just turned 2 and will still ask to be up. I'd say follow her lead... if she's interested in being out of the carrier to work on new skills, let her.

Opinions on crying it out?

Opinions on crying it out? My baby is 8 1/2 months old. I've tried the no tears method and it worked a couple times but now it doesn't anymore. I do squats while holding her and rock her (21 lbs baby) for over an hour each nap all for nothing. My friend said she did cry it out and by the 3rd day her baby would only cry 5 minutes and now he's totally fine with sleeping in the crib. Opinions please? I am the only one who actually raises my kid. My fiancé does not help and I have no family that helps. So it is very hard on me. Thank you Edit: because clearly some of the women on here think I'm a monster. I am an EMT. When I go back to work, I will be gone 24 hours at a time. My daughter is almost 9 months old and cries every minute she is not in my arms. As much as I want to comfort her every second of the day, I can't. And it's better I get her used to sleeping on her own now, than not letting her cry and all of a sudden mommys gone for 24 hours at a time and she completely loses it and I can't just get off work to comfort her.

I’m an amazing cook, but a horrible baker. My daughter decided on a girly dino party for her birthday in a few weeks. The baker I hired for the cake doesn’t have time for cookies, so looks like that lands on me. This was/is my first attempt at totally homemade cookies & homemade royal icing. I’m glad I did a trial run - now I know it takes me longer than I thought it would, and now I know I need to let each layer of icing totally completely cool before adding more. Hopefully her actual birthday cookies will be better! 🦖💕
