Sharing the big news Hi, ladies! I'm 6w4d and just curious as to when you were all planning to share…

I told my parents and close family fairly shortly after we found out.

My close friends know aswell know, but we will make it public via facebook once I get past the first trimester.

I was going to wait until 16weeks but I had my first ultrasound and heard the heart beat at 10weeks and feel deeply in love and couldn't hold it in any longer

We told both sets of parents right away, but will wait for the rest of the world until at least a heartbeat, but probably until 1st trimester is almost done.

For my husbands mother, it was her birthday, so we got a her a cake saying "Happy Birthday Yiayia" (Grandma in Greek). Her face was priceless!

I told my close family and friends right away. We announced at 10 weeks, we had our first appointment at 7 weeks and the doctor actually said we could announce then but we wanted to hold off just a little bit. I'd discuss with your doctor. There is no right or wrong way to do it, sometimes people tell right away, some wait longer. Do what's best for you guys!

We told both sets of parents about 3 weeks after we found out so it could sink in well for us as a couple and parents. We're waiting until the end of the first trimester to tell the general public.(:
