Anti Kell Positive

I see my doctor on Monday. I am in freak out mode right now. Has anyone dealt with this? Any info would be helpful. Dr. Goggle has me so scared.

Are your titers above critical, 8+? If not, you'll need to have them rechecked monthly. If so, you would need biweekly MCA scans starting no later than 18 weeks. You can have your partner's blood tested to see if they carry the antigen and the likelihood the baby will also have the antigen and be affected by your antibodies. Here is a website with lots of info. Bethany, who's website this is, is a part of and active in the fb group I mentioned above. ссылка

I have anti-K antibodies discovered this pregnancy. You became sensitized from a previous pregnancy or blood transfusion. Try not to Google too much but you'll need to be closely monitored and you may have to advocate for your care as someone mentioned. I'm in an isoimmunization group on Fb called "iso moms" and those ladies are experts in all things antibodies (including Kell), check it out.

I am 19 weeks Wednesday. I just got done at the MFM. They are going to keep checking my titer levels every 6 weeks and if they go up the dr will start doing the scans to check for anemia. It is nerve wracking to not know when/if things will change but he seems confident that as long as I get my blood checked regularly everything will be fine.

I am anti JKa (kidd) and am seeing the high risk doctor For the first time Monday. Do as much research as you can. Make lists of concerns. Find out the monitoring and tests you need. My midwife had never heard of this and I had to request her to send me to the high risk dr. They were basically just like “we don’t know anything about this so we’ll recheck your titer levels in 8 weeks (12 weeks after the first blood draw)” It was good I had researched bc I need blood checks every 4 weeks and MCA scans every month starting around 20 weeks. From what I can tell we will be fine with the proper monitoring. It is possible to need transfusions for the baby before it is born if it gets anemic and I will be induced by 37-38 weeks bc the MCA scan doesn’t work after that.

I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!

lillyb Good job giving ur self a break we all need them. See if maybe she will nurse
delete____ I have to commend you for stepping away, momma!! Everyone reacts to a child screaming differently and
imisssleep123456789 Ugh I remember those days. With both kids I decided to always top them off with formula.
