My husband doesnt wanna have a shower or even a sprinkle for our son. We didnt have one for our 1 year old son so we literlaly have barely nothing. My husband is extremely proud, and hates the thought of asking for help from anyone. But i mean we are goin on one income and we need to have a shower or something for the baby or the baby will barely have the bare minimum. Like im beyond stressed that he doesnt get it. Its not like we're askin for ppl to buy us anything but we're really just celebrating and welcoming the new baby to our family. ???

Some men are like that lol my boyfriend is like that at times surprised I’m evening throwing a sprinkle myself ? maybe you can change his mind and let him know it’s not about asking for things is about celebrating the new baby’s arrival too the world soon with family and close friends

It’s not asking for help though. It’s a celebration

Well the way I see it the money you waste for the baby shower you can use it to buy the baby stuff. Little by little once you notice you would only need diapers and wipes . I honestly love buying my baby clothes . Wait until Christmas maybe family members will give the baby a Christmas gift .

I agree it’s a celebration but if he doesn’t mind paying for everything on his own that’s something he will have to deal with ... i know it’s frustrating but it’ll all work out ?
Besides, pampers and wipes are welcomed all year long I’m sure lol

Honestly it has nothing to do with him so see if someone is willing to help you plan the shower/sprinkle. That's what I would do lol.

Showers really aren’t about presents. They are about celebrating new life.
You can add you don’t want gifts on invites or ask for books only. I’ve been to a few of those and they were great.

You said you need to have a shower for the baby or he/she will have the bare minimum but then say the shower isn’t about gifts but more of a celebration. What if you spend money that you could keep and people won’t bring gifts? Who is paying for this and do you think the shower will be worth it?

It’s a good way to welcome your baby, and your friends would probably be happy to give a gift for your little one. I think you should go for it.

I'd say go for it! Of course, it's more of a celebration with family and friends, however that's mostly what people do at showers, bring gifts for baby. Let your husband know you're not trying to turn it into a charity event, just that you'd like to experience a baby shower and take some of the stress off him with having to buy all of baby's essentials.

I'm Actually the one like that in my relationship. I have always gotten wheat they needed mostly on my own. When my oldest was a baby my family helped watch him but I wouldn't accept things time help me out. My bf wants a shower fir this one and I said dont worry I got this. If people want to throw you one then do it behind his back.
