3rd pregnancy- surprise as I thought I was done after my last I just had in December! So 2 years of being pregnant, I enjoy my subs ! I eat mostly tuna but also have had turkey multiple times this pregnancy. I eat subway weekly, ate Costco turkey croissant sandwiches a couple times, eat salad bars...Had subway multiple times last pregnancy as well. ?

I heard that too...Ive been wanting Subway for about a month now...4 months & 1 week to go! ? lol

Oh man. I eat deli meat, cold cuts, sushi... I mean if you're eating it off the floor and you don't know how long it's been there or who put it there, then yeah don't put that in your sub. I've never had a problem though with subway or some place that passes inspections and has a reputation to uphold.

The chance of getting listeria are so slim. It is still there but that applies to anyone. Just eat at reputable places and don’t eat any meat left out at a party or anything

I ate deli meat hot/cold, my baby boy came out healthy.

I ate it all the time with all of my kids, both cold and warm, and they all came out fine. I will only eat the meat for about 4 days after I get it from the deli then I throw the rest away to ensure I'm not eating old n bad meat.

I don't eat deli meat at all just to be safe. But yes, Listeria is a bacteria that is harmful during pregnancy. You can heat it up first if you really want it but I prefer it cold so I'm just gunna avoid it altogether ?

@tt- yea my sil is pregnant with her first and she refuses to stop eating subs. I tried to tell her but she says hey cousin ate subs all thru her pregnancy so she will too....ive been wanting one so bad tho???

When I was pregnant last time I always stopped at subway before every appointment and my daughter turned out fine.

Its fine to eat just make sure any deli meat you eat is heated

I just ate subway a few days ago. I've never really liked my subs cold. I like my cheese and meat heated but veggies cold and crisp.

I use to heat the meat up with my first and eat Cuban sandwiches all the time lol

Hot subs are just fine. The threat is with listeria, which is basically from improperly handled food.

The midwife says just to heat the meat for 30 sec in the microwave or get it toasted to kill listeria. I eat cold lunch meat occasionally. As long as it has been properly stored and handled there is not much risk.

I eat subs and deli meat here and there. I think as long as you don't eat them every day it should be fine with my first pregnancy I would eat it here in there also.
