My poor baby girl has really bad chicken pox, I’ve got virasooth and calamine lotion but what else is there that I can give her? She’s itching and not sleeping properly because of it feel horrible for her xx

Oooops I used oats but actually bathed her in thrm?but they seem to look not as raw and flared up so gonna try that morning and night see if it helps clear it up abit quicker xx

My son was covered like this, he was older, but I filled a sock with oats, hung the sock on the hot tap while the bath was running, then when he was in the bath washed him with the sock filled with oats, he didn't itch at all and dried up in a few days xx

Aww hunni I feel for her my jack got them this time last year he was 12 weeks old and covered vira sooth is the best stuff and there’s a mouse but I can’t remember the name of it hope she recovers soon xxx

I think the transfer of ibuprofen through breastmilk is minimal. Poor little girl x

I just had a thought
I started my first period today and had backache so took an ibuprofen and I just remembered that giving kids ibuprofen when they have chicken pox is dangerous!! Will she be okay?! X

Poor little mite? I thought Evie had chicken pox (it wasn’t) but he gave her an antihistamine to help with the itching x

Yes that mousse is fab! My two youngest have just had the pox, just rub it in and it dries really quickly and you can re-apply when you need to! It’s about a tenner too xx

Fpo it’s awful isn’t it? my 4 year old got them hers cleared up last week now Layla’s caught them just waiting for Logan to get them too out of every childhood illness chicken pox is the one I’ve feared most?xxx

We were given a cream from the doctor called Eurax when my daughter had it and it was brilliant - we found the virasoothe didn’t relieve the itching for long at all but the Eurax cream stopped it for long enough to let her sleep overnight.

My friend got a spray from behind the counter in boots- I can’t remember what it’s called, but it soothed a 4 month old. Hope she’s better soon xxx
