Lexi is having an eye test in 2 weeks as she keeps complaining the can’t see and also squints her eyes ALOT what actually happens? I want to prepare her for it rather than just take her and she kicks off she’s 4 and not the easiest to explain things too?

My oldest had to have hers checked at age 4 I just told her she would have magic drops in her eyes to make them better. She said mummy will it hurt I said no of course not x

If she has the drops just explain they are magic drops they dilate her pupils so the optician can check her vision accurately.
If she’s going for a routine eye test then they should have a card with animals or cars etc on it they will change the lenses accordingly to her vision or response from the pupils
