My 2nd was full dairy allergy, and was told to steer clear of soya based products due to fertility problems later in life, think it's only an issue for boys, but a nutritionist told me rhubarb stewed can equate to the RDA of calcium, and that's just one portion, and it makes an amazing food for weaning too, I used to stew some and then top with rice/almond based yoghurt xx
We use dairy free spread, oat milk as a drink or on cereal and coconut based yoghurts. Cheese you can buy soya alternatives but my lg is allergic to soya, so there's a brand called violife that does all kinds of vegan coconut based cheeses. Just be careful as milk is hidden in so many things such as meats, sauces, cereals, biscuits, I could go on all day ??
Have a look in the free from aisle. We had a nightmare, soya wasn't on our list as was linked to infertility when older, apparently.
He had a lot of fresh fruit, veg and meats.
It's hidden in certain brands of baked beans. Sausages etc. I made everything from scratch to avoid hidden problems x
Dairy allergy
It appears that my daughter (17 days old) has a dairy allergy. I will be calling her pediatrician on Monday, but I need to start eliminating the cause from my diet before then. Any of you who have experience with this, what do I need to stop eating? I know it's the milk proteins, not necessarily lactose, but I'm not sure what all that encompasses. Also, what do I feed her in the mean time? My milk is going to continue to upset her tummy until the dairy is out.

Five hours after his birth, he began to scream. Baby Blaise was breastfeeding well; he was hale and healthy as a newborn can be. He’d pooped. We even stripped him down to check for hairs wrapped around stray appendages. Nothing.
We swaddled him. He screamed. We put him naked on my bare chest. He screamed. My husband rocked him, swung him, shushed him, bounced him. Still, he screamed.😢 After an hour, we called the nurse.
💬“Our baby won’t stop screaming,” I said, knowing, humiliatingly so, that ...
Tmi : I'm really gassy, I had milk not too long ago to take away my heart burn .. Could I be lactose?
Does this look like some sort of allergy or intolerance? She’s exclusively breast fed. Pic in comments. I’m freaking out.
I've been giving the babies lactose free chocolate milk. They love it
My son was had a bad dairy intolerance from birth. Is it just a lactose intolerance or is it dairy. Lactose means it's the sugars in the dairy that they are allergic to and dairy is they can't have any of it. Lactose intolerance there is abit more of a range of food they can have but dairy intolerance is quite limited. I always found Tesco to have the best range of things as they do kids dairy free yoghurts in strawberry and banana flavours. I found soya milk the best and you can get an Alpro soya growing milk for kids(it has a giraffe on the front) hope this helps a little xx
