Aww I'm sure ur so glad u got answers Hun so at least now u can be prepared for if it does ever happen tho fingers crossed it won't, hoping the wee man is still doing well and the new medication works for him xx

Yeah vix I'm the same I was really bad as a child but I've sort of out grew my asthma only now and again needing my sprays but I do get 4-5 chest infections a year and thanks Roxie I'm okay just glad he's better now never been so scared to see him struggling to breath was awful xx

Glad he's home hopefully he'll be over his stay quickly. My sister had it pretty bad and started really tiny, she is now a county swimmer as the swimming helped. She uses an inhaler daily but has avoided attacks for about 10 years xx

Glad he's home. Will they give you a stats monitor to monitor them from time to time as a precaution?

Yeah I just hope nothing like that happens again he also had bronchiolitis at 9 days old and since then he's always suffered with his chest also coming down with new colds and coughs so hopefully this medication he's on works as it's supposed to reduce the amount of attacks and episodes of wheezing and coughs so fingers crossed xx

I'm glad he's home now. My 4 year old has had asthma from 6 months old, after having bronchitis. It's a tough road for the both of us as every cold hits her lungs, she has frequent lung infections and visits the hospital regularly ? unfortunately we're still trying medication plans as they only reduce her attacks for a few months then she's back to having attacks, and any form of exercise sets her off too, working with the school in September is going to be fun.

Update

We can go home he's been off oxygen all night and his oxygen levels stayed borderline so that's a good thing they said that this is all boiling down to asthma but they can't diagnose it cos he's too young

He's on steroid treatment at the min and they have put him on medication for life as it was an asthma attack he had and they don't tend to have them this young! So glad he's on the mend now though xx

Well we are still no closer to knowing what's wrong he's still needing oxygen but he went and played in the sensory room and now he's crashed out Doctors are just as baffled as me tbh no tests results are back yet either so will update again when I can xx

Thanks everyone he's still struggling on oxygen although they've told me he's going to be on medication for life not to sure what for cos everything's happened so quickly! They are running a few tests on him to rule out serious conditions

Hopefully things will turn around quickly, kids tend to go from really poorly to well within seconds of them getting the right meds xx
