I have to sing some sort of song and pin him down sounds horrible but he hates it until I give him the tooth brush and he's happy as anything ? x

Different things work for my two! With my older one, he responds well to a timer or countdown, so he knows how long he has to bear it for!!

With my daughter, she is a missy me-too....so as pp said, sometimes she brushes my teeth at the same time, or I give loads of praise to her brother & she wants some too ? I also use her dad, pretending to do his and giving him loads of "praise" too ? it is such a mission, I just make sure I attempt it twice a day, and don't let her avoid it, as she knows she can get her own way otherwise, and teeth brushing is not optional of course!!! ?

The twins r a nightmare Hun they was 2 in Feb and I just do my best I get them to make silly sounds I give them a good brush over as best as they let me then let them have a go. The dentist said not to stress with it as long as they have them done am&pm at least it's something they will learn in time x

My 15 month old always screams like crazy and wont open her mouth ? now shes getting molars, i have no idea how will i get to them if struggling to brush front ones ?

I let my lo brush MY teeth while I did hers at that age! Bit awkward bit worked for me! Also there's an aquafresh app that's great with a toothbrush song and you earn points each time you brush and with the points you can 'buy' fancy dress outfits for the little aqufresh dude.x

I let my little girl brush my teeth as I brush hers, I tend to get choked but only way she'll do it with out screaming the house down xx

Let her pick a nice girly toothbrush and sparkly toothpaste (u get a purple sparkly one in asda) and try and turn it into a fun thing rather than something she sees as being horrible. We made up a song for brushing my sons teeth as he used to be a nightmare too. Just sing and dance and be silly for 2 mins till u get them brushed and usually the distraction works. Or let her watch cartoons on YouTube on ur phone and distract her that way. If her teeth are starting to look discoloured it won't be long till she needs dental treatment and that'll be so much worse x

We've found using a electric toothbrush has helped us loads and again he picked his Spider-Man one

i found buying a brush frm superdrug at £5 nd its worked a treat 4 my boy.alls u do is put a pea sized amout on then let them chew away! its like a rubber thing! i went 2 the denists nd e advised that this was fine 2 continue 2 use!hope ive helped.gud luk anyway sweet!.x

My lg has not been too bad but we do get refusals every so often. I let her choose her own tooth brush and she got some purple toothpaste for night time. I brush at the same time and it's quite often that she is bribed to do them before going somewhere or getting milk etc. Doing it in the bath worked as a distraction as well. Fingers crossed for you!
