What's good and what's bad??
Ladies. This is my 4th pregnancy, & 2nd baby (hopefully) I am 5 weeks and wanna know what foods, herbs, drinks, etc should be avoided while pregnant?? I did a lot of research with my first one but only remember tuna and mayo aren't good. So what have you guys been told and researched??
The oyster/shell fish is weird to me. Everything I've looked up said smoked or dried (canned) is fine. Even oysters. And as long as the shellfish is cooked it's fine. But steer clear of fish high in mercury like sword fish and mackerel. Deli meats are okay IF they are first heated to steaming. This includes garlic and ham sausages. Mayo is fine so long as it's pasteurized. Homemade is a no go because of the raw egg. Same reason egg nog is out ?. Make sure fruits and veggies are thoroughly washed and meat is cooked fully. Even if you want to eat it cold cook it first and let it cool (shellfish, deli meats, etc) And no sprouts. Alfalfa sprouts (even washed and or cooked) can still hold listeria in their seeds and thus should be avoided.
Honestly, the only things that changed for me was limiting caffeine (both pregnancies got to a point where I couldn't stand the taste of coffee anyway). And no alcohol. Sushi is generally a no-go if it's raw. But I usually get the smoked sushi rolls from a trusted source, so that's never been a big deal. They also say no lunch meat because of the risk of listeria. So if you get a sandwich from subway or something, just make sure you get it toasted. But honestly, I don't think I've cut much out. Oh! I did cut out my beloved Eggs Benedict because the eggs are poached. Sad, very sad.
I couldn’t live without mayo, I just put a bunch of it in my potato salad for dinner tonight. I’m 19 weeks. But they say to stay away from sandwich meat (cold cuts) and soft cheeses and sushi... uummm oysters, and certain kinds of fish no shark or swordfish. I hate that this time around I’m not in the mood for super healthy food. But I do take (garden of life “raw prenatal” and “oceans mom”dha)
Wow what a lame ass she thought kush is a good thing n told me to do research well I hope she sees my damn post anything that alters your state of mind is a drug
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
A lot of things that they say to avoid are because the possibility of getting botulism. The chances of actually getting it is slim, you can get botulism from canned vegetables.
