Am I the only one ?

Sometimes I get so unattached from this pregnancy. It never lasts long but sometimes I just wonder if this is how it's supposed to be, am I supposed to be a mom right now ? Am I supposed to have my baby now ? Will I be a good mom ? How will I provide for him ? How will I teach him ? Will he love me ? Will I love him ? I mean I do but idk. Those are just some thoughts and feelings I go through every blue moon. I mean at the end of the day I love this baby soooooooo much it's crazy. But I have my doubts. Am I the only one ???

No, you're not the only one...my mom made me extra cautious with my pregnancy because she miscarried once on Christmas, so i was more aware of thr different things that could happen, and couldnt enjoy being pregnant. I actually focused a lot on the negative aspect because of it.

I thought that once I had my lo I would feel some instant connection to her, but instead she's more connected to her daddy and grandmother. I call her grandmother (my mom) the "off switch", because my lo stops crying once she picks her up.... makes me feel like she thinks my mom is her mother.....

I feel horrible about it, and I know that I love my little girl, but I have yet to feel that maternal kick-in yet...... :-/

Noo you are not the only one omgoodness that's all I was thinking in the beginning of my pregnancy! I'm low income, 22 years old, haven't went to college/uni & of course had no idea what to expect. All of these things made me feel exactly what you were feeling. But I learnt everything happens for a reason; God wouldn't give us such a blessing if we were just to fail and give up. Sure I'm gonna be a young mama but I know she's gonna motivate me SO much to do all these things, to go to school in order to get a good paying job to support her. She already has motivated me so much I'm already thinking about what courses to take and what not and she's not even here yet! Don't worry mama it gets better. ?????? don't doubt yourself. Ps if you ever need to talk feel free to send me a message anytime! Keep your head up ☺️??

I'm excited for my little man but I get detached often. My husband, father, family and friends are all really excited too. I know I'll be a good mom, but my mom died 3 days after I found out I was pregnant. Right when I needed her the most, she slipped away. She was my best friend and We had both dreamed of this day for a long time and now she isn't here to share it. This has made it really hard for the fact that we are having a baby, to sink in. It will come around. Don't worry.

Yea that's how I am. I try to read to him, talk to him, play with him & listen to good music for him often but sometimes I just don't get around to it

No I know what you mean, I felt detached from the baby a few times. Mostly because people tell you...you need to do this or do that...or don't forget you need to talk to him all the time. I work a dull time job and get home I still have lots to do. I forget he's there sometimes, I get my reminders thru out the day his movements. But my feelings changed the other day, my stomach just popped right out and I am starting to really feel the weight of him now. I love this little guy to pieces can't wait till February :)

It's ok to say that pregnancy sucks. Because for some, it does. Not everyone has a pregnancy with no symptoms or complications to complain about. If you admit it sucks, it doesn't mean you're not greatful or don't love your baby. It just means you're being honest. The same with motherhood. That sucks sometimes too. That doesn't mean you don't love your kids and don't do your best to give them the world. I know it's old but it popped up in a snapchat story about how people (Especially other moms) bashed Kim Kardashian for being honest about her pregnancy. I appreciate her honesty and not sugar coating everything to seem perfect.
