I was going to type what Emmy said but got lazy. You'll have to lighten your color to get this. Definitely go to a salon for even color. Better to do it right.

If you look at my previous post from 7 months back you'll see how I got my hair a similar colour to this ? I didn't need a salon,it was really easy

Eta- mine was slightly brighter,to get this colour you'd need to add a little more purple to the pink

Your hair looks to be a dark brown in your profile picture. You have 2 options:

-If you want to do this at home and wouldn't mind just having just a TINT in this color you could go with a semi-permanent like Manic Panic or Arctic Fox. You can put it over what you have now, it does a lot less damage but is hard to maintain and bleeds onto everything you love. You might get the color while in the sun, but it won't look like that all the time. I do this often because I like to change it up. You could even go with Pravana if you want it to last forever...

-But remember light cannot go over dark. If you want this true color you will have to be lightened first. If you have never done that before I would recommend going to a salon because it can turn badly very quickly.

Yeah burgundy sounds about right. But I bought a box color that I liked and it came out way too dark.

This is more of a burgundy that I've found in box hair color at stores like walmart. Magenta would be a bright hot pink. I don't think you want that.
